KCNC Kasditor Rotor – Product Safety Recall Notice

KCNC have identified a potential durability issue with first production Kasditor brake disc rotors.
As this can affect the safety of the rider we are making a recall on all first production rotors.
Products affected : Kasditor brake discs with anodised alloy star shaped centre spider, sizes 140mm. 160mm and 180mm
Serial numbers beginning E followed by A to P, and those beginning with EQ followed by numbers below 19775.
This recall does not affect full stainless steel Razor rotors.

The safety of KCNC’s customers has always been of the utmost importance, as has the quality and safety of KCNC’s products. For this reason they have decided to recall these rotors for replacement with an improved design rotor. These rotors were introduced into the UK in December 2013, and feature an anodised alloy star shaped centre spider.
The recall does not affect the full stainless Razor rotors. The recall only effects 140mm. 160mm and 180mm rotors – not 203mm rotors. All rotors are serial numbered, and any rotor with a serial no. prior to EQ19775. The series is alpha-numeric, so any rotor with a lower number needs to be recalled, i.e. EQ19774......EP99999, EO99999...etc. We ask customers to look at their rotors and the serial numbers, and if they cannot read the serial number take a photo of the rotor and email to info@clee-b2b.co.uk. If a proof of purchase available - this will also aid in determining the rotor’s eligibility for recall. Once identified the recalled rotors can be returned to the retailer for replacement, or returned directly to Clee Cycles, UK Distributor. Please contact the retailer or Clee Cycles to arrange replacement.
Thank you for your cooperation in this.

2010 Prices

We pleased to announce that there will be no price increases for 2010. Pricing was difficult last year, and increases were necessary, but the pound seems to have stabilised now and we are able to continue to offer 2009 prices for 2010. This again makes KCNC products very competitive!

New 2010 Lightweight Cranksets from KCNC

KCNC have continued to update the external bearing (K-type) cranksets for 2010. They are the same lightweight sets as 2009 at 665g for the XC1 double, 705g for the XC1 triple, and 668g for the RD1 double. They all use the same replaceable stainless bearings and now feature a floating axle that can be removed from either side with only removing the non-drive arm. The XC1 also have a narrower Q-factor at 164mm, and a 47.5mm chainline. This is narrow - at the request of many racers! They are as stiff as last years and look fantastic!

New Lightweight Headset Spacers From KCNC

KCNC have been busy machining - removing material from their anodised alloy aheadset spacers. Still look good and a weight comparable to carbon spacers - something for the weight-weenies!
